VA TECH WABAG Share Price Up by 6%; BSE CAPITAL GOODS Index Up 1.2%

VA TECH WABAG share price has zoomed 6% and is presently trading at Rs 288.

Meanwhile, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS Index is at 21,609 (up 1.2%).

Among the top Gainers in the BSE CAPITAL GOODS Index today are VA TECH WABAG (up 5.7%) and SIEMENS (up 7.0%).

LAKSHMI MACHINE (down 0.2%) and SCHAEFFLER INDIA (down 0.5%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, VA TECH WABAG has moved up from Rs 109 to Rs 288, registering a gain of Rs 179 (up 164.3%).

On the other hand, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS has moved up from 11,212 to 21,609, registering a gain of 10,397 points (up 92.0%) during the last 12 months.

The top buzzing stocks among the BSE CAPITAL GOODS Index stocks during this same period were GRAPHITE INDIA (up 314.1%), BHEL (up 221.0%) and HEG (up 192.5%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 49,171 (down 0.8%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex stocks today are POWER GRID (up 4.7%), L&T (up 2.5%) and NTPC (up 2.2%). Other gainers include ASIAN PAINTS (up 1.0%) and SBI (up 0.6%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are NTPC and POWER GRID.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 14,824 (down 0.8%). The top gainers in the NSE Nifty include POWER GRID (up 5.1%), L&T (up 2.8%) and TATA MOTORS (up 2.3%). Other gainers include NTPC (up 2.0%) and ASIAN PAINTS (up 1.0%) are among the top gainers in NSE Nifty.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 31,443 to 49,171, registering a gain of 17,728 points (up 55.05%).

VA TECH WABAG Financial Update...

VA TECH WABAG net profit stood at Rs 311 million for the quarter ended March 2020, compared to a profit of Rs 282 million a year ago. Net Sales rose 15.5% to Rs 7.9 billion during the period as against Rs 6.8 billion in January-March 2019.

For the year ended March 2019, VA TECH WABAG reported 40.6% decrease in net profit to Rs 859.0 million compared to net profit of Rs 1.4 billion during FY18.

Revenue of the company grew 19.6% to Rs 28 billion during FY19.

The current Price to earnings ratio of VA TECH WABAG, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 19.0x.
