Covid-19 cases in Ahmedabad gets lessened this week; % of admission of patients to hospitals witnesses a nosedive
The number of Covid-19 infections has dwindled at Ahmedabad in Gujarat. In addition to this, the percentage of patient admission to hospitals has fallen down.

Covid-19 contagion witnesses a decline in number this week in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. Although, the state has reported 11,592 Covid-19 infections in the last 24 hours. While the number of total cases stands at 6.93 lakh.
JV Modi, Medical Superintendent at Civil hospital in Ahmedabad says that the percentage of admission of patients to the hospital has witnessed a nosedive.
He says, “245 patients were admitted at medicity campus of the hospital yesterday. On May 2, a maximum of 400 patients were admitted”, as quoted by ANI.
Further adding, he informs, “B/w April 13 & May 6, there were lines of ambulances outside the hospital. 50-60 patients would be waiting in ambulances. But now there’s no ambulance waiting. 20% of our oxygen beds are empty. In the last 3-4 days, the number of admissions has dropped by 20-25%”, according to ANI.

Additionally, there have been 14,931 recoveries plus 117 deaths in the state in a span of 24 hours.
