Hyderabad, May 11 (UNI) As many as 4801 fresh infection cases registered in Telangana till 1730 hours on Tuesday to take the cumulative caseload to 5,06,988 so far.
The state also suffered 32 fresh fatalities due to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours, taking the death toll till date to 2803, translating a case fatality rate of 0.55 per cent as against the countrywide mortality rate of 1.1 per cent, according to the bulletin issued by the Office of the Director Public Health and Family Welfare, here today.
As many as 7430 people have recovered from coronavirus statewide on Tuesday pushing the total number of recoveries thus far to 4,44,049 constituting a recovery rate of 87.58 per cent while the National recovery rate was 82.7 per cent.
Currently, the number of active cases in the state stands at 60,136, the bulletin said.
In all, 75,289 swab samples were tested in the state during the last 24 hours to detect the contagious virus and out of which the reports of 2878 swab samples are awaited.
Since the outbreak of the Coronavirus pandemic, 1,37, 54,216 COVID-19 tests have been carried out in the state so far.
