Three workers die after toxic gas leak in Nellore's chemical factory

Immediately after the incident, management of the factory shifted the workers to a hospital in Nellore and three of them died while undergoing treatment.

NELLORE: At least three workers reportedly died and two others fell ill after inhaling a toxic gas that leaked from a factory unit of Venkata Narayana Active Ingredients located in Chandrapadiya village under Vinjamur mandal of Nellore district in the early hours of Tuesday. 

According to reports reaching here, the deceased were identified as Sk.Sharif, P.Srinu from Vinjamur and Tirupataiah from Chouta Bheemavaram. Immediately after the incident, management of the factory shifted the workers to a hospital in Nellore and three of them died while undergoing treatment. 

Police have registered a case and taken up the investigation. 

One person had died and three were left injured in the same factory last July when a boiler had exploded.
