Dunmore woman charged for drug sale
May 10—A 30-year-old woman was in the Lackawanna County Prison on Monday after she brought her two young daughters with her to sell a pound of marijuana last week, state police at Dunmore charged.
Tiana Boer, 216 Allen St., Dunmore, came under investigation last month after she sold two grams of cocaine to a confidential informant in Taylor, according to a criminal complaint.
On May 6, police said Boer arranged to sell the informant more cocaine and a pound of marijuana in Dunmore.
State police were watching her vehicle as she started driving to the meet up point and noticed she had her daughters — ages 7 and 5 — in the car too, according to the complaint.
One of the children did not have her seatbelt buckled, so authorities pulled Boer over on Throop Street. She told an officer that she had been on her way to take the kids to their grandmother's house.
However, her purse was open on the front seat and the officer wrote in an affidavit he could see a bag of what looked like marijuana in plain view. The marijuana police found weighed about one pound.
Boer is charged with several drug crimes, as well as child endangerment and was jailed in lieu of $15,000 bail following her arraignment Friday by Magisterial District Judge Terrence V. Gallagher. A preliminary hearing is scheduled May 20.
