Harry and Meghan made a sweet donation in honour of Archie's second birthday.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex's firstborn turned two on 6 May – the couple are currently expecting their second child – and with the release of a new photo of Archie, asked the public to donate to the purchase of vaccines for families in need amid the pandemic.
Making a donation themselves in honour of their son, Harry and Meghan have donated 200 beanies to the I Got Your Back Pack initiative, which forms part of New Zealand-based charity Make Give Live.
"Happy birthday Archie," the I Got Your Back Pack initiative shared on Instagram. "We are so grateful your lovely parents decided to support our friends at @makegivelive , who kindly donated 200 gorgeous beanies on to our charity. These will definitely warm some heads and hearts across NZ."
News of the couple's donation comes shortly after they both appeared during Saturday's broadcast of Global Citizen's Vax Live concert; Harry and Meghan were campaign chairs of the event.
Harry appeared on stage at the event, while Meghan spoke virtually, mentioning their baby girl on the way as she encouraged vaccine confidence.
"My husband and I are thrilled to soon be welcoming a daughter. It's a feeling of joy we share with millions of other families around the world," she said.
"When we think of her, we think of all the young women and girls around the globe who must be given the ability and the support to lead us forward. Their future leadership depends on the decisions we make and the actions we take now to set them up, and set all of us up, for a successful, equitable, compassionate tomorrow.
"We want to make sure that as we recover, we recover stronger. That as we rebuild, we rebuild together."
