Covid-19: K'taka launches Innovative Oxy-bus for patients in emergencies

Bengaluru, May 11 (UNI) Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa on Tuesday launched an innovative OxyBus service to aid Covid-19 patients during emergencies.

"Twenty such units will be set up near Govt Hospitals and Triage Centres in Bengaluru, and more units will be set up across the state," Yediyurappa said.

"We are ensuring transparency & efficiency in the system for timely availability of beds to Covid-19 patients, the CM added.

He said that the second wave cases slowly reduced across the state, however, people should take care with wearing masks, maintain social distance and not to come out from the house unnecessarily besides they should cooperate with the government efforts to bring down the virus.

He clarified that there is no shortage of vaccines in the State with the Health department started vaccination for the 18-44 persons besides the above 45 people second dose. The one line booking of the adults has already been booked for one week and not to worry the vaccination will be available for everyone, he added.
