As India reels under the second wave of Covid-19, experts believe that the country will encounter a third wave of Covid-19 sooner or later. Some experts also say that children and newborns will be at higher risk in the possible third wave. The Covid infection in the second wave got deadlier and thousands of lives were lost. The Times of India spoke to Dr Samiran Panda, Head-Epidemiology and Scientist at ICMR to know more about the projection, possibility of future covid waves hitting India and why kids could be at higher risk of contracting the virus.
