SECI Seeking Land for 100 MW Solar Projects in Chhattisgarh for SECL
The Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) has issued an Expression of Interest (EOI) for shortlisting of suitable land banks/ parcels for the implementation of solar projects in the state of Chhattisgarh.
SECI intends to develop a 100 MW (with at least 50 MW at a single location) solar PV project for South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL), one of the eight subsidiaries of Coal India Limited (CIL) in the state.
The proposed solar PV project is to be set up at the designated land location(s) in the state of Chhattisgarh, which will be identified, acquired and purchased by the contractor on the employer’s behalf and the same shall be transferred in the name of employer, in line with the timelines and provisions of the land transfer details as stipulated in the tender documents.
To develop the said project, the Project Owner, SECI requires cumulative 400 acres (min 200 acre of land at one location) of land and has invited proposals from prospective private landowners/ farmers/ co-operative societies/ land aggregators, etc. who are willing to sell land on outright basis or on long term lease (30 Years) anywhere across Chhattisgarh state meeting the following criteria:
