Nothing, the company founded by OnePlus’s ex co-founder Carl Pei has been throwing off information in bits and pieces. The company has managed to create hype around its name already and now it is grabbing all attention for its first-ever product launch.
Nothing has already confirmed what the first product is going to be. In February, the company revealed the first product will be wireless headphones and today it is announcing the name of the same. In a special blog post, Nothing announced the name of its first wireless headphones is Ear 1 and it will launch as soon as next month. The exact launch date of the Ear 1 is still unknown but it is great to note that the slated launch isn’t too far.
Keeping its fashion alive, Nothing revealed no further details. The only other detail Nothing decided to give away, however, was to tell that Ear 1 echoes its raw ambition – “to let things be what they are.” Well, with this scarce information, we can’t tell what Nothing is trying to convey here.
The design of the Ear 1 is still a “top secret.” Somewhere between the fancy lines of the announcement, Nothing says that “Ear 1 combines notes of transparency, iconic form, and refined functionality.” The statement sounds familiar because Nothing said something similar in March as well. At the time of unveiling Concept 1, a conceptualized design, it did say that the final product will share some similarities to Concept 1. But we can’t tell if that said “final product” is Ear 1.
Let’s wait for a few more days or weeks to see what exactly Nothing has preserved for all of us. After all, we have come a long way following the company’s claims religiously so we can wait a bit more for the final reveal.
....And, by the way, Nothing has asked "Can you guess what the sequel will be called?"
