NIH Meeting to Focus on Building Bridges Across Public and Private Sectors to Better Integrate Sex and Gender Considerations into Biomedical Research
WHAT: The Office of Research on Women's Health (ORWH) of the National Institutes of Health, in collaboration with the Foundation for the National Institutes of Health (FNIH), will hold the 5th Annual Vivian W. Pinn Symposium. This year's symposium aims to:
- Illustrate how the continued integration of sex and gender into biomedical research is creating opportunities for the nation, not only scientifically but also societally and economically.
- Explore the power of academic, government, nonprofit, for-profit, and business organizations working together to further advance the integration of sex and gender to catalyze innovation and further advance the health of women.
- Demonstrate how applying a multidimensional perspective to women's health generates transdisciplinary cross-sector approaches and partnerships that also can promote integration of sex and gender considerations.
