Budget 31-40k 27 inch 1440p 144hz+ IPS Monitor Suggestions

Hello! Need suggestions for a 27 inch 1440p 144hz+ IPS Monitor. If it matters, my GPU is from Nvidia.

Was leaning towards the Gigabyte M27Q but there just aren't that many reviews by normal customers on the internet but if there are, they are speaking about the BGR layout problem with text clarity. The other monitors I have in mind are :
The https://www.msi.com/Monitor/Optix-MAG274QRF-QD is not yet available in India, otherwise would have gone with it looking at the amazing reviews.

I'll mostly be playing games, photo editing and video editing.

If anyone else is in the market for a monitor and needs a few suggestions, they can pitch in their queries on the thread too. No problem.

Haven't used it myself but I've seen this 2k monitor go for 19k during lightning deals

In the same boat, leaving towards m27q. Would like to know more about the competing options. I think it was @Kratos47 who had reviewed the m27q on reddit. BGR isn't much of an issue he says.
The gl850 also has an updated version, gp850 (dunno where the gn850 slots in), but no idea when it'll be available here.

I remember seeing products from Dell, MSI, and Viewsonic in this range.

I actually ordered this when it was 22k or something before it reached 19k then cancelled my order. Didn't reorder as I had second thoughts and saved the money to first buy rest of the parts. It's a great monitor for the price but want something better.

Yep! The M27Q has some really good reviews by rtings and hardware unboxed. I really want to buy this monitor but the amount of people complaining about the BRG layout and text rendering is putting me off. Hope the guy you tagged can share us a few pictures of how the font rendering looks on the monitor without cleartext enabled.

Yeah, new monitor launches in India takes a while. A lot of great monitors are available rest of the world but sadly we have to wait.

For pure gaming, MSI has quite a few great monitors. Don't know much about Viewsonic but Dell has a great monitor they sell only though their own website in India, cannot remember the model number.

Yes, I posted a review on M27Q on reddit, here:
https://www.reddit.com/r/IndianGaming/comments/ljwi39 BGR layout is not a problem and Cleartype text eliminates 99% issues. Cleartype is enabled in most PCs anyways, but with BGR layout once has to pick the second right option, first one is for RGB layout.

My suggestion will be LG 27Gl850. G sync and also works well with my AMD card. no issue at all. Dell is also good but stock issue will hunt you and if it comes to rma, more of an issue. asus one is good but LG will be on my priority list. skip Gigabyte due to alot of issues with rma in india.

I live in a tier 2 city so RMA will be a pain unless it's from a good brand. I did hear about Gigabyte not having a proper service option and that you need to take it yourself to them for any problems which is just not possible for me. By going with specs alone the M27Q was the best one but LG does have a better reputation when it comes to aftersales. The dell one is like a blue moon when it comes to stocks so it's probably going to be a hassle incase an exchange is required.

I do have time till the end of this month to decide so hoping to have a firm decision until then. The GSync Sticker on the LG 27GL850 does get a lot of flaunt points and that's the only monitor to have it in the range I'm looking into. Will be fun to spam my friends with the gsync sticker pictures.

I'm not sure about Gigabyte RMA when it comes to monitor. But replacing their motherboards was always easy. Also in a promotion offer they gave me an Aorus Robot as well.

Anyways, overall I loved this monitor and I use it both for office work which involves MS office, photoshop and premiere pro.

It's also Gsync compatible and a KVM switch. So 27GL850 had nothing better on it. Even has a superior contrast ratio of 1000:1 when compared to LG's 700:1.

If you really wanna go with LG then my advice would be to pick the newer model with backlight strobing. LG27GP850. That should be around 44K when launched in India.

yep i had gigabyte motherboard myself for my AMD Phenom x6 1055T. had done rma for more than 7 times so I am not sure if its a good thing or not. later in 2013 or 2014 they gave me an upgrade to latest gen model for the same config which had usb 3 support back then. But recently things are not as good they were at that time. so many horror stories about their A.$.$ that Asus will look like a god to you in comparision to it. my be its completely based on location but again in pendamic its better to go with something which have some steady offering. I my self was doing R&D for the KVM model as I needed that feature but it was not launched in india at that time. Went to shop, nearly both the ASUS model as LG one was not availble due to stock but when the guy came with the model from godown it was LG monitor. I have lg rma + view sonic rma experice for monitor. got full refund for LG monitor. got replacement model for viewsonic on which I am typing write now.

This has something to do with FDI policy. Gigabyte and all other AIBs have to provide service through some indian company. Some are quick to resolve RMA, while some are assholes. It seems Gigabyte jumped the boat now and are more focused on marketing than actual service.

I think the most nervous purchase will always be Laptop for me.

In the end LG does seem to provide good aftersales then either wait for new GP model or try to find the old GL for 33K, back in Feb it was dropped to mark a dent in Gigabyte and ASUS monitor sales.

I would have brought this if it was available in India. Spoke to a seller about it but not yet released in India.

I would rather sacrifice a few features if it means better service as it's India and RMA is already a nightmare here. Currently the LG seems like the top contender.

The new GP model will probably release after this year or Q3-Q4. Does anyone have any info about it?

Yes it won't be launched in India. I asked MSI distributor about it. Otherwise it was my first choice as well.

It is pretty easy to lean toward M27Q because of its fast panel. Btw, I read somewhere on Reddit that LG offers only 1 year warranty on Ultragear monitors (better to confirm), if that matters.
How does Gigabyte compare to that Asus model?

Yes, I remember reading about it however Amazon shows 3 years for the GL850 and also the answers to the query for 1 year has been answered as 3 years from the date of invoice. Will probably have to call the LG CCR for 100% confirmation.

3 years as much as I know. also msi one is good on paper unless calibrated via industiral tool as much as I remember via the research I did before my monitor buy. without it its a hit or miss.

Yes MSI ones need to be calibrated, out of the box MAG274QRF-QD comes oversaturated and while calibrating it not that difficult it does require an expensive colorimeter like SpyderPro.

Still one can ballpark the calibration using a photo grade image printout from a photographer's workshop and then match the colors using the windows calibrator. My Gigabyte Monitor's ICC profile was given to me by Tim from HardwareUnboxed. Very helpful guy.

acer option is also good if op likes the design for the same. I think a new model for the same as been launched recently. on youtube goldyHindgaming as that monitor so if you want you can check that out too.

I tried to find the monitor review by the youtuber you mentioned but couldn't find it. Is it a new predator series perhaps?

Update!

Current 1st choice is LG 27GL850-B, unless it's newer model LG 27GP850 or a new awesome monitor from another brand releases before this month ends, I'll definitely be buying this monitor.

My reasons are :

It's LG, afterservice and QC is top notch.
Even though it's an older model, still holds it's own with the newer models. Most games won't hit 144FPS on 2k resolution anyway unless it's an e-sports title.
I have used TN panels all my life, 720p/1080p highest. I'm pretty sure this monitor will blow me away with it's quality anyway.
It has a portrait swivel mode which the other monitors don't have, I'll probably not use it but who knows when I might need it. I know there are VESA stands but they add up the total cost.
While there are better 144hz+ in the same price range, service history is a hit and miss for many.
The Dell S2721DGF was my 2nd choice but seeing it's low frequency of stocks, I'll rather take my bets on the LG.
This one is individual based, I talked with a few Gigabyte sales team about the M27Q and they mostly skimmed over my question about if I could ship the product to them incase of RMA and not deposit it to them directly at a collection point which made me 2nd guess the decision as I just don't like to take unnecessary hassle like these. Also the BGR layout and text clarity issue is something I can easily avoid by buying any monitor except this. You can go forward with this monitor if you have a service center near your area.
The Asus VG27AQ is a great buy too but I have hardly seen it come on higher lists on monitor recommendations, it's usually a honorable mention in most.
Finally, it has a GSYNC sticker and I would love to annoy my friends by bringing it up every time during conversations.

Now, if anyone can make me change my decision with their sales pitch, be my guest.
