Hyderabad: Sun TV Network, the parent company of the Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH), will donate 30 million euros to help the people watching the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The second wave of coronavirus infected many people, and the number COVID-19 positive cases have increased at a worrying rate in the country.
Sun TV Network donates Rs.30 crores to provide relief to those affected by the second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic. It will be spent on various initiatives currently underway in different countries of India, including the following: 1. Donations to the various programs initiated by the Government of India and state governments. 2. Collaboration with NGOs that manufacture oxygen cylinders, medicines etc. Provide, ”SRH informed in a statement on Monday.
Sun TV will also help spread awareness among millions of their audience COVID-19.
“In addition, the company will use its resources, including all its media assets, to spread greater awareness among millions of our TV viewers across India and the rest of the world,” the statement added.
Meanwhile, India registered 3,66,161 new coronavirus cases in the past 24 hours, the union’s health ministry said Monday morning. With this, the cumulative score of the cases increased to 2,26,62,575.
A total of 3,754 people have died from the disease in the country in the past 24 hours, bringing the cumulative death toll to 2,46,116.
According to government data, there are currently 37,45,237 active cases of COVID-19 in the country. The country also witnessed as many as 3,53,818 recoveries that took the cumulative recovery to 1,86,71,222.
