Delhi Police issues look-out-circular against absconding Olympic medallist Sushil Kumar in murder case

The Delhi Police on Monday issued a lookout notice against two-times Olympic medalist Sushil Kumar in connection with a violent fight in  Dehli’s Chhatrasal Stadium. The incident has left a 23-year-old former junior national champion dead. The dead has identified as Sagar Rana who was beaten to death by wrestler Sushil Kumar.

Reports said, after the incident, Rana had to be rushed to the hospital, where a former junior national champion, succumbed to his injuries.

Delhi Police has registered an FIR of murder, criminal and abduction conspiracy against Kumar.

After the incident, Kumar has been absconding ever since. Reports said both Rana and Kumar were involved in a fight where both wrestlers opened fired on each other, leaving many people injured.

Police said victims have told that Kumar with some people abducted Rana from his residence to teach him a lesson for insulting him in front of other wrestlers.

Additional DCP (North-West district) Dr. Guriqbal Singh Sidhu said the police have recorded statements of all the victims, who blamed Kumar for the incident. We are conducting raids to nab Sushil Kumar, Sidhu said.

Police have almost raided 20 places in Haryana and Delhi to nab Kumar. His relatives and in-laws have also been questioned by the police to get information about the wrestler.

 Police said, they arrested one of the accused Prince Dalal and found a recorded video of the incident from him. Recoreded video clearly shows the faces of all the attackers, Police said.

 Police said they have seized Dalal’s cellphone and recovered two double-barrel guns along with seven live cartridges of 12 bore from his possession. After investigation, we have found that the guns were registered in the name of one resident of Ashoda village in Haryana’s Jhajjar, police said.
