It's been nearly six years since Shahid Kapoor and Mira Rajput tied the knot. The couple had an arranged marriage and now they are head-over-heels in love with each other. Shahid and Mira have completed their family with two kids - daughter Misha and son Zain. Now, during an interaction with ETimes, Shahid's mother and veteran actor Neelima Azeem was asked about how Shahid confessed to liking Mira to her.
The legendary dancer stated, "He was very shy but he somehow told me. I met Mira immediately and found her to be a girl who was not just pretty and glamorous, but someone who was very balanced and loving. I liked her instantly. I am friends with Mira's mom too."
On being quizzed about her relationship with Mira, Neelima said, "She is just like my daughter. We are buddies, actually."
Talking about how Shahid changed after marriage, the actor went on to share, "Shahid has become very relaxed after marriage, he is looked well-looked after, he is happier."
Neelima had Shahid from her first marriage with Pankaj Kapur. She then married Rajesh Khattar and they have a son Ishaan Khatter who is also an actor.
Recalling about her separation from Pankaj, Azeem had told Bollywood Bubble, "Shahid was very young, he was three and a half years old. Shahid was born in Delhi while I was staying with my parents because Pankaj had left much earlier and shifted to Mumbai before we know that I had conceived. He wanted to try his luck in films and TV and I supported him because I thought he is a very talented and young man."
