Dear Members,

I am currently using an Acer Predator Helios 300 i5 (7th Gen) and looking for an urgent upgrade.
I primarily use the laptop for DOTA2 and watching movies. (I connect it to a 32" Dell Monitor). I travel quite frequently too so need one which has a good quality display itself.
Primary Requirements:
  • Solid Build Quality (If possible, not a plasticky build)
  • Core i7 or better
  • Excellent Display
  • I don't mind even if it is a 17" model
  • Decent cooling (Since my current laptop tends to heat up a bit during gaming)
Also, kindly suggest a decent 4TB external HDD.

I can stretch my budget since i am looking for something that covers my requirements for the next 4-5 years. Looking to purchase in the next couple of days.
Would really appreciate your advice. TIA !!

Your gaming requirements are quite modest for the budget. Is there anything else you need the laptop to do other than what you've specified here?

Do you simply not mind a 17-incher or are you specifically looking for one?

Frankly was looking for a good laptop to watch movies etc. on while i am out of home (dosent mean i am dependent on the battery though). Need one which suffices my work for the next 5 odd years.

Buy ASUS ROG Zephyrus S17 (2020), 17.3" FHD 144Hz/3ms, Intel Core i7-10750H 10th Gen, RTX 2060 GDDR6 6GB Graphics, Gaming Laptop (16GB RAM/1TB SSD/Office 2019/Windows 10/Black/2.6 Kg), GX701LV-EV039TS Online at Low Prices in India - Amazon.in

Its fine, but what I'm trying to understand if the 17-incher is a requirement and if you're okay with lugging 2.5+kg around. Recommendations for the G14 are on the complete opposite end of the gaming laptop spectrum; being a 14-incher that's a whole KG lighter.
