The photos of the veteran actors Waheeda Rehman, Asha Parekh and Helen from their Andaman vacations have gone viral. In the pictures, the trio are seen recreating moments from Farhan Akhtar’s film Dil Chahta Hai.
Taking to Instagram, Producer Tanujj Garg shared photos of legendary actors reliving their youth in the Andaman island. In the pictures, they are seen posing on a boat before they wore their life jackets and enjoyed the ride. While in one of the photos, the three are posing for pictures on a yacht, in another Asha and Waheeda are seen engrossed in a conversation.
Tanuj captioned the photos as, “Picture 1 on 10.05.21. If Dil Chahta Hai were to get remade with three grand dames, it would be with these #legends – Waheeda Rehman, Asha Parekh and Helen. Enjoying their retirement years, holidaying in the Andamans. Filled with joie de vivre. Put a massive smile on my face. Eventually what we’re left with when we’re old is youth of the ilk, memories, love and a few good mates. (sic), he wrote.
Several fans gushed over the pictures. They took to the comments section, and showered the yesteryear actors with love. While one of the fans wrote, How awesome is this, another said, One of my favourite pics in a long long time. There is such joy and cheer and power in it. Retirement goals! La vie est belle!, one of them commented.
Earlier, fashion designer and Congress leader Shaina NC had shared a photo of the three actors with her on a beach in Andamans. She wrote, With the #wonderwomen of the film industry, timeless grace #helen aunty , #waheedarehman #ashaparekh in #andamanislands @beingsalmankhan @arpitakhansharma @atulreellife @arbaazkhanofficial @sohailkhanofficial (sic).
Waheeda’s daughter Kashvi Rekhi had also shared a picture of the two of them snorkelling in Andaman’s Havelock Island on Instagram. In the photo, Waheeda and Kashvi were seen underwater, wearing snorkelling gear and holding each other’s hands.
The three actors recently appeared on Madhuri Dixit’s dance reality show Dance Deewane 3 as guest judges for the Holi special episode where they shared anecdotes from their time in the industry.
