Portugal approves social internet tariff

The Portuguese government approved the creation of a regulated tariff for access to fixed and mobile broadband internet services, known as the social internet tariff, reports Jornal Economico. It will be applied to consumers with low incomes or special needs, giving them access to nine basic services, including email, search engines, educational programs, news, online shopping, job offers, banking services, public services and video calls.
