Malik criticises Modi govt over exorbitant fuel prices

Mumbai, May 10 (UNI) NCP National spokesperson and Minorities Minister Nawab Malik on Monday accused the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led government at the Centre of cutting pockets of people by raising petrol and diesel prices.

Mr Malik, in a statement, said that day by day fuel prices are increasing and in some districts, the price of petrol has crossed hundred.

He said that Modi should explain to the people, why rates are being hiked in India, when petrol and diesel prices are stable in the world market.

Mr Malik also demanded that the hike in fuel prices in the wake of the Corona crisis, is having an impact on rising inflation, so the loot of the people should be stopped.

He also said that about 4.5 lakh people won't get a second dose, as due vaccines are not being supplied by the centre. The Central Government should immediately convene an all-party meeting and form a task force.

Corona should handle the situation through choosing a leader for disaster management. Mr Malik has also expressed fears that if this is not done, the situation in the country will get out of hand.
