If you have been waiting for the perfect time to clear out your schedules and prepare yourselves to binge new titles, this is it. OTT platforms have gone into overdrive this week and there is a lot to cover. Bollywood brings forth two major picks with Salman Khan's Radhe and Sanjay Kapoor's The Last Hour, and Netflix's bold psychological thriller, The Woman in the Window—featuring Amy Adams—is also in the pipeline. Money Explained (May 11)

The Vox Media produced show is back with another informative episode based on everyone's best friend and worst enemy—money. Highlighting various methods of spending, borrowing, and saving, the documentary presents a complete picture of monetary situations that may be of concern. From credit cards weighing you down to student loans crumbling your sanity, Money Explained focuses on common weaknesses, we as humans share when it comes to expenditure, and how business models are designed to exploit them.

Castlevania season 4 (May 12)

The popular anime, based on a famous Japanese videogame, will see its conclusion with its fourth season. It follows a vengeful vampire, Count Dracula, who summons an army of demons to run riot on Wallachia, Romania when its people wrongfully burn his wife over suspicion of witchcraft. Their only hope is a lone monster hunter, Trevor Belmont, who stands up to these hellish creatures. The final season will see the region fall into chaos as different factions go head-to-head, battling for dominance, while other forces try to resurrect the deceased Dracula.

Oxygen (May 12)

Amnesia is never a medical condition one wants to associate themselves with, but when Liz wakes up in an enclosed cryogenic pod with no memory of her past and how she got there, she gets desperate for answers. This French thriller follows her struggle to remember who she is in an attempt to break free from captivity. The only problem? She is running out of oxygen. As the levels of the life-giving gas decline, she uses the technology available in her pod to find information on herself to trigger a memory response before she suffocates.

The Upshaws (May 12)

As family comedies go, The Upshaws is a recipe for laughter. The premise introduces you to a good-hearted mechanic, Bennie Upshaw who's the breadwinner of a black working-class family. Having made some bad choices in life, he is desperate to up his husband and father game as he deals with the daily shenanigans of his wife, his four children, and his nosy sister-in-law, resulting in hilarious consequences. Despite their differences, the family is determined to make it work and come out on top as one big, happy, and successful bunch.

Haunted season 3 (May 13)

The paranormal anthology series returns with brand new tales to send chills down your spine. The show shares first-person accounts of eerie experiences people have had that are depicted via frightening re-enactments. The episodes are allegedly based on true incidents and touch upon subjects like cults, malevolent spirits, ghosts, and more.

Radhe (May 13) 

A remake of the 2017 Korean film, The Outlaws, Radhe is touted to be the action entertainer of the year. The film stars Salman Khan as the titular character who is a notorious cop, known for not playing by the rules. When Mumbai is ravaged by a relentless drug syndicate and the crime rate gets alarmingly high, Radhe is called in to take matters into his own hands and oust the scum from the city. The Prabhu Deva directorial also stars Disha Patani, Jackie Shroff, Randeep Hooda, among others.

Alma Matters - Inside the IIT Dream (May 14)

This documentary series teleports you into one of the most prestigious engineering colleges of the country—IIT Kharagpur. The students who clear the world's toughest public exam in hopes of a bright future are anything but set for success. With mounting pressures and expectations, Alma Matters dives deep into what it takes it not just exist but thrive in such an environment. The narrative showcases moments from student's daily lives on campus that touch upon relentless competition, sexism, and a struggle to make or preserve one's identity.

Cinema Bandi (May 14)

Curated around the artistic nature of human beings, this Telugu original film articulates that everyone is a filmmaker at heart. The plot follows an autorickshaw driver who is dumbstruck when he discovers an expensive camera, left behind by a passenger, in his vehicle. Seeing this as an opportunity to raise funds for his drought-hit village, he gathers his friends in an attempt to direct a commercially successful movie. However, with budget constraints come production problems, but the group finds unique ways to tackle them. Furthermore, their dreams are endangered when the owner of the camera comes looking for it.

Halston (May 14)

Inspired by the life of iconic fashion designer Roy Halston Frowick, this limited series chronicles his rise into the top tiers of the fashion industry, with his designs defining the 70s and 80s era. As his fame rises, it fuels a posh lifestyle brimming with extravagance and sex, but a sudden hostile takeover pushes him to fight a legal battle for the Halston name itself. Ewan McGregor plays the titular designer in the show.

High School Musical: The Musical: The Series: Season 2 (May 14) 

After successfully performing a stage musical rendition of the High School Musical franchise, the students of East High School—where the original films were shot—are preparing for their spring performance which is set to be the Disney classic, Beauty and the Beast. Also, there will be a lot of developments to focus on in the students' personal lives this time around as they tackle respectively teenage issues related to family, romance, and friendship.

I Am All Girls (May 14)

A South African thriller based around child trafficking in the country, I Am All Girls revolves around two women from drastically different walks of life, focused on a common goal. One of them is a detective, working to bring down a lethal child trafficking syndicate while the other is a serial killer, strategically eliminating members of the same organisation. With their interests inclined, the duo forms an unlikely bond and work together to bring down this menace once and for all.

Love, Death & Robots volume 2 (May 14)

This adult animated series is an anthology set in a bizarre future, riddled with personal and public issues that have plagued humanity since the dawn of civilisation. It features stand-alone episodes that span across genres, dealing with dystopia, fantasy, horror, and comedy. The common thread between them is their thematic nexus to the titular subjects that feature heavily in the narrative. However, not all episodes contain all three elements. After a successful 18-episode first season, the second season is set to return with eight new original stories.

The Last Hour (May 14) 

Set in a chilly town in the Himalayas, the plot follows a mysterious young priest, who can talk to spirits and guides them to the afterlife. After various murders in the area, he joins hands with a stern cop to hunt down a menacing figure from his obscure past that may be the key to this mystery. The supernatural thriller series stars Sanjay Kapoor, Raima Sen, Karma Takapa, among others.

The Underground Railroad (May 14) 

Based on Colson Whitehead’s 2017 Pulitzer Prize-winning novel of the same name, this original series is a fictional account centred around the famous Underground Railroad—a system of secret routes and safe houses that helped enslaved Black people escape during the 1800s. In this timeline, however, this route is an actual railroad that is chanced upon by a young slave girl, Cora, in Georgia. She teams up with her friend Caesar, in an attempt to ride on a train to freedom.

The Woman in the Window (May 14)

Amy Adams plays an agoraphobic child psychologist, Anna Fox, in this daunting psychological thriller. She finds solace in keeping tabs on the family across the street through the windows of her New York City apartment and keeps her anxiety in check. Unfortunately for her, she accidentally witnesses a brutal crime that shakes her to the core and flips her world upside down. As the plot progresses, she realises that nothing is what it seems to be. The film also stars Gary Oldman, Anthony Mackie, Julianne More, Wyatt Russel, among others.
