nCoV: Mumbai reports 1794 new cases, 74 deaths



Mumbai, May 10 (UNI) The Mumbai city on Monday reported 1,794 new cases of COVID-19 during the past 24 hours while 74 people succumbed in the same period.

The fresh additions took the financial capital's caseload to 6,78,269 whereas the death toll mounted to 13,891.

As many as 3,580 were cured and discharged, taking the total recoveries to 6,16,998. The recovery rate stands at 91 per cent.

A total of 23,061 people were tested in the past one day. Mumbai is currently having the doubling rate of 163 days. Doubling time is the number of days required for the number of cases in a pandemic to double.
