Tengnoupal, May 09 2021: Even with the increasing number of COVID-19 infection in the second wave, the condition of the one and only Primary Health Centre in Tengnoupal District has been in a very deplorable condition, says Piter Hemkhosei Touthang, Senior member Tengnoupal village authority.

According to Piter Hemkhosei Touthang, Tengnoupal DHQs still doesn't have a Covid care centre even with the increasing number of Covid positive cases and stated that it is rather unfortunate that the concerned authority is neglecting the matter.

The lack of Covid care centres has added to the fear of COVID-19 infection in the mind of the people.

It is therefore essential to establish a Covid care centre in Tengnoupal DHQs and upgrade the Tengnoupal PHC at the earliest, he added.

Piter Hemkhosei Touthang further expressed the need to construct an office for the Chief Medical Officer and appealed to the State Government and concerned department to look into the matter as soon as possible for the welfare of the people.
