Symbiosis Law School hosting a webinar on conflict resolution

PUNE: Symbiosis Law School, Pune, is hosting a webinar on the 'Role of justice, gender, ethics and spirituality in conflict resolution' in collaboration with Pepperdine University, Caruso School of Law, the USA on May 11. The discussion aims to focus on cross-cultural dispute resolution, faith-based mediation, and utilizing modern theories, science, and technology to devise creative solutions for global disputes. The panel discussion will touch upon a wide range of topics – ‘Role of justice, gender, ethics and spirituality in conflict resolution’, ‘The need and importance of conflict resolution for lawyers’, ‘Inter-faith dialogue in real life’ and ‘Cross-cultural competence and global legal skills’, among others. It will be followed by an interactive question and answer session, said the official release.
The resource persons will include Shashikala Gurpur, Director SLS, Pune Justice (Retd.) Shalini Phansalkar Joshi, Bombay High Court, Judge Tiffany M Williams (Ret ALJ), Sukhsimranjit Singh, Judge Danny Weinstein and K Parameswaran, Associate Professor of Law, Gujarat National Law University.

The release further said that the webinar will be attended by faculty members, LLM and 4th Year BA/ BBA LLB Students of Symbiosis Law School, Pune along with students and faculty from other universities. The webinar shall witness participation from members of various college cells like the Community Legal Care and Literacy Cell, Pro Bono Club, International Cell, Career and Professional Development Cell and students of the Global Legal Skills course.
