Over the past year, many countries across the world have restricted travel andtourismdue to the pandemic. Many of these regulations forced travellers to quarantine when entering certain countries. Now, as the virus appears to be on the downturn, some of these countries are easing back on those restrictions.
Travellers from Italy and Austria will no longer have to quarantine for two weeks at a hotel when entering Ireland, media reports said. The country will still require travellers from Belgium, France and Luxembourg to undergo the hotel quarantine, however.
The decision was made after the European Commission urged Dublin to impose less strict restrictions on travellers from other European Union states.
