Hyderabad: In view of the second wave of Covid-19 the pandemic, the Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE) has decided not to charge late fees to students applying for various Common Test Tests (CETs). Usually the students are given a month to 45 days to apply without a late fee for the CETs. After this, a late fee between Rs 250 and Rs 5,000 is charged together with an application fee from the students, depending on the deadlines for registrations.
According to the notice, the last date to apply is without a late fee for the Telangana State Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (TS EAMCET), 2021 on 18 May. Students can apply for a late amount of Rs. 250 and Rs 500 until 28 May and 7 June respectively. The applications are also accepted at a late amount of Rs 2500 and Rs 5,000 until 17 and 28 June respectively. The TS Eamcet is scheduled to take place from 5 to 9 July with AM on 5 and 6 July while the Engineering Admission Test takes place on 7, 8 and 9 July.
‘Given the pandemic situation, we do not want any further burden on the students and their parents. We will not charge a late fee. The dates for applying without late fees will be extended for the CETs, ‘said a senior TSCHE official. The TSCHE has already extended the date for online submission of applications for the Telangana State Physical Education Common Entrance Test (TS PECET) 2021 without a late fee until 15 May.
