Balasore, May 09 (UNI) Union minister of state for Fisheries, AH&D and MSME Pratap Chandra Sarangi was injured in a road accident today afternoon near Podasul when his car collided head on with a tractor coming from the opposite direction .
Mr.Sarangi is admitted in the district headquarter hospital and his condition is stable , according to his media coordinator Srinibas Pradhan .
According to Pradhan , Sarangi was on the way in his car to visit a serious patient of his locality in Nilgiri when the accident took place near Podasul
Besides Sarangi , his personal assistant and driver were in the car .
The union Minister had bleeding from nose and injury on his leg.He was immediately rushed to the local sub divisional hospital at Nilgiri and later shifted to District headquarter hospital
Sources said the driver of the tractor was supposedly in an inebriated state and lost the control on wheels.
