    losing a package with USPS

if you ever have a lost package, call the post office you or the other sent the package. they should give you the number of the next location and onwards, wherever your last tracking stopped.

I recently had an expensive package lost, called the post office and they gave me the number to call of the next location it was supposed to be. I called that location and immediately they told me to just file for a lost package 2 weeks after initial shipping until I told them the post office told me to call them to help find the package. Suddenly the employee offered to look up the tracking number and would send out a search request for the package. 2 days later the package was 'found' and the online tracking finally updated after a week of no updates.

Nothing is really 'lost', they just don't give ****.
