Maruti Suzuki WagonR is one of the most popular hatchbacks among Indian family buyers. It has been in the market for quite some time and it has changed over the years as well. The current generation WagonR that we currently have in the market was launched couple of years ago. It is entirely different from the older version and is based on Maruti’s HEARTECT platform. The WagonR is a common car on our roads and several aftermarket accessories are also available in the market. Here we have a video where a current generation Maruti WagonR has been neatly modified both on the inside and out.
The video has been uploaded by G K MOTORS CAR ACCESSORIES VASHI on their YouTube channel. The vlogger starts by giving an overall view of the car and then talks about all the modifications and customisations done to it. Starting at the front, the WagonR gets a diffuser. The stock front grille has been replaced with an aftermarket unit with chrome garnishes in it.
The headlamp gets gloss black garnish around it and there are aftermarket LED DRLs, projector fog lamps installed on the car. Moving to the side profile, there is a dual tone wheel cap that gives it an alloy wheel look. The steel rims have been painted in black. Other noticeable change here is the gloss black cladding that is installed on the wheel arches and around the car. There is a dual tone cladding installed on the lower part of the doors.
The door handle get gloss black garnish and they have also installed a rain visor. A lower window chrome garnish is also installed that goes all the way to the C Pillar. Apart from all these, the owner has also opted for a black roof rail. The body colour of the WagonR is white and most of the garnishes and accessories installed on the car are black. Use of chrome on this car is quite less. As we move towards the rear, just like the headlamps, there is a gloss black garnish around the tail lamps too. Other than that, there is a diffuser at the rear with faux twin exhaust tips. The bumper gets LED reflector lamps too.
This is a VXI variant and Maruti does not offer rear power windows in this version. The modifier installed Maruti Suzuki’s genuine power window for rear passenger. other than that, the stock seat covers were removed and replaced for almond coloured ultra soft seat covers. They have also installed an aftermarket armrest which gets almond colour upholstery on it. As this was lower variant, it did not come with touchscreen infotainment screen. G.K Motors installed an aftermarket Android touchscreen infotainment in the car. The speakers system on this car have also been upgraded. The steering wheel gets a new cover as well.
The work done on this WagonR looks very neat and the interiors look upmarket as well. The vlogger does not mention the price of this modification in the video. The WagonR is available with two petrol engine options. There is a 1.2 litre petrol and a 1.0 litre petrol engine both variants are available with manual and AMT gearbox options. A CNG fuel version of the same is also available in the market.
