A round up of all the PRO14 Rainbow Cup results in Round 2, both abroad and in South Africa:
RAINBOW CUP SA
SATURDAY, 8 MAY
Sharks vs Lions - MATCH REPORT
The Sharks made it two from two after beating the Lions 34-26 (half-time 24-12) in their Rainbow Cup SA clash at Kings Park on Saturday.
At best, it was a collective and workmanlike effort from the Sharks, who for a second consecutive week are getting the best out of their not so big, but very combative pack.
It was a well-deserved success and one that'll be buoyed by Siya Kolisi showing good signs in his work-rate and linking play.
Stormers vs Bulls - MATCH REPORT
The Bulls were stretched to their limits, but desperate defence in the closing stages of Saturday night's Rainbow Cup clash at Cape Town Stadium saw them secure a 20-16 win over the Stormers.
Tense and physical throughout, the contest did not provide much in the way of thrilling running rugby, but it was so closely contested that it didn't matter.
There were just three tries all game - two for the Bulls and one for the Stormers - but with Springbok places up for grabs for the upcoming British & Irish Lions tour, this was a mammoth battle.
RAINBOW CUP NORTH
FRIDAY, 7 MAY
Zebre 20-25 Benetton
Benetton followed up their shock win over Glasgow by claiming a 25-20 victory at Italian rivals Zebre in the PRO14 Rainbow Cup.
The Treviso outfit’s triumph against the Warriors last month came after they failed to win a single game during the regular PRO14 season, in which they lost twice to Zebre.
Munster 38-10 Ulster
Ireland scrumhalf Conor Murray celebrated his British and Irish Lions selection with a try in Munster's 28-point thumping of Ulster at Thomond Park.
Rory Scannell and Mike Haley also touched down to make it 19-3 at half-time, the latter score coming after Ulster's Will Addison was sent off for a high tackle.
Ulster captain Iain Henderson snapped back with an early second-half score, but a dominant Munster made it back-to-back victories as Scannell, JJ Hanrahan and Andrew Conway made it a six-try success.
Glasgow 29-19 Edinburgh
Glasgow Warriors edged a seven-try thriller to as they wrestled possession of the 1872 Cup back from Edinburgh.
Richard Cockerill’s team had held the Scottish inter-city silverware for the last three years but tries from Cole Forbes, Fotu Lokotui, Fraser Brown and Kyle Steyn handed Warriors a 10-point win.
