Three of family among 4 drowned as car plunges in roadside well in Dhule

Nashik, May 8 (UNI) Four people, including a boy and three members of a family, were drowned after a car they were travelling in fell into a roadside well at Balsane village in Sakri taluka in Dhule district.

Five people, including four members of a family, were returning to Satana tehsil from Balsane village in Sakri tehsil in a car after a marriage function on Friday evening.

On the way they decided to meet their relatives at Dighave village and therefore the person in the driver's seat turned the car to Dighave village but lost control on the wheel and it fell into the roadside well, police said.

The Kasare villagers rushed to the spot and saved the life of Shankar Yadavrao Borse, the driver of the car.

They then launched the rescue operation and recovered four bodies from the well by late last night.

The deceased have been identified as Gouri Shankar Borse (38), Tanmay Shankar Borse (12), Shraddha Shankar Borse (12, all residents of Satana tehsil) and Bhumika Yogesh Panpatil (12, of Dighave in Sakri tehsil).

A case of accidental death has been registered at the Sakri police station in this regard, sources added.
