Funding in Indian startups this week (03 May-08 May)

This week 15 Indian startups raised funding, of which 12 received a total sum of about $74 million. Among them, Rapido raised the highest funding of about $43.4 million, followed by Teachmint, which raised $16.5 million.

Meanwhile, funding for 3 of the total funded startups remained undisclosed.

Below is the summary of deals closed this week

Teachmint: Edtech startup Teachmint has raised Rs 122.8 crore or $16.5 million in its Series A round from new and existing investors. This is the third round for the Bengaluru-based startup which was launched exactly a year ago.

Rapido: Bike taxi platform Rapido has raised $43.4 million in a round led by WestBridge Capital.

Stockal: Stockal, a platform that enables global investments for Indians, has raised $3 million in funding from Aroa Ventures, Cadenza Capital Management, and others.

Jidoka Technologies: Chennai-based startup operating in the field of automated cognitive inspection for manufacturing, Jidoka Technologies has recently received a seed funding of $0.34 million from a technology entrepreneur.

Obviously AI: No-code tool that enables anyone to build and run AI models without writing code, Obviously AI has raised $3.6 million as seed funding.

6Degree: Mumbai-based 6Degree has raised $1 million in a Series A round from SucSEED Indovation Fund, Keiretsu Forum, SucSEED Angel Network, and AngelBayas.

Arthya Wealth and Investments: Mumbai-based wealth management and investment advisory firm, Arthya Wealth and Investments has raised $1 million in pre-Series A funding.

Thingsup: Pune-based low-code IoT platform Thingsup, has raised $0.1 million from GSF Accelerator, backed by founders including Rajesh Sawhney, Founder and CEO of GSF Accelerator; Pras Hanuma, CEO of Infoquest; Dinesh Agarwal, CEO of Indiamart; and J. Murugavel, CEO of Matrimony.com.

Nivesh: Fintech startup Nivesh has raised $1.6 million in a pre-Series A round from IAN Fund. The round also saw participation from other co-investors, including angel investors from Indian Angel Network and LV Fund, and angel investors Vir Mehta and Raghav Kapur.

Sarathi Healthcare: Agetech startup Sarathi Healthcare has raised a funding of Rs 1 crore in seed funding from a clutch of investors including Nitin Sethi, Vishal Dhikale, Swapnil Bagul, Gaurav Satbhai and Jayshree Harak.

Avail Finance: Bengaluru-based neobanking startup Avail Finance has raised $3.25 million in debt financing led by Alteria Capital.

HomeGuruji: Edtech platform HomeGuruji has secured $0.05 million in seed funding from Pune-based angel investor Girjesh Vyas.

KikoTV, MedSign and InterviewVector did not disclose their financial details.
