3 held in Rs 35 lakh cheating case in Junagadh

Rajkot: Visavadar police of Junagadh district have arrested three persons in the case of man being cheated of Rs 35.70 lakh. According to police, the accused were arrested after Vaju Sukhadiya, a resident of Ishwariya village of Visavadar taluka, lodged a complaint of cheating against Rajnik Viradiya, (23) his father Mukesh Viradiya (48) and uncle Dhanji Viradiya, all residents of Sarsai village.
“I had given Rs 35.70 lakh to Rajnik Viradiya as pre-payment for purchase of dry fruits but he did not deliver the item. When pressed for refund, Viradiya gave two cheques — of Rs 18 lakh and Rs 17 lakh — both of which bounced,” Vaju Sukhadiya stated in his complaint.
Police informed that in the past Rajnik Viradiya had been arrested in another case of cheating.
