German Parliament approves reform of network enforcement act

The German Parliament has approved the reform of the network enforcement act (NetzDG). The government coalition CDU/CSU and SPD voted in favour of the reform, the right-wing party AfD and liberal FDP against it, while Die Linke and the Greens abstained. According to the text of the law, a number of additional regulations should contribute to fight criminal content on internet platforms and social networks and contribute to transparency.
