Gauhati University to conduct 2021 UG and PG exams in online mode

NEW DELHI: Due to the current Covid-19 pandemic situation in the Assam, the Gauhati University, after discussions with stakeholders, has decided to hold the undergraduate and postgraduate exams online.
The decision to conduct the UG and PG exams online was taken after a crucial meeting organised by the Gauhati University on Friday.
According to a notification issued by the university, an urgent online meeting was held today under the chairmanship of Prof. Pratap Jyoti, vice chancellor, Gauhati University. After threadbare discussion on the matter and taking into account the current situation, the meeting decided that all pending examinations will be held in Open Book System in the online mode only.
The Gauhati University PG examinations will be started from June 1, 2021 and will be completed by June 15, 2021 while the UG examinations will be started from second week of June 2021. Necessary study break will be decided by the respective HoDs and principals of the colleges.
A Committee is also constituted to streamline the system and to offer necessary suggestion to the Controller of Examinations.
The university will issue a detailed notification in this regard soon which will also contain information about the SoP for the online mode of examination.
