New Delhi, May 7 (UNI) Senior journalist Shesh Narayan Singh died due to coronavirus at a government hospital in Uttar Pradesh's Greater Noida, on Friday.
The 70-year-old journalist was admitted to the hospital after he tested positive for coronavirus.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed grief over the death of the senior journalist.
Mr Modi tweeted, 'Senior journalist Shesh Narayan Singh ji will always be remembered for his significant contribution to the world of journalism. I convey my condolences to the bereaved family.'
Expressing condolence over Shesh Narayan's demise, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath tweeted, 'I pray to Lord Shri Ram to grant the departed soul a place in his supreme abode and courage to the grief-stricken family to bear this loss. Om Shanti.'
SP chief and former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav expressed grief over the journalist's demise.
He tweeted, 'Senior journalist Shesh Narain Singh ji passed away, extremely sad! Condolences to the bereaved family. God bless the departed soul. Emotion tribute.'
Press Club of India tweeted, "Deeply mourns the passing of Shesh Narayan Singh, senior journalist, columnist, and political commentator. His death has left a vacuum in the media world that will not be filled. PCI mourns his untimely demise. Our heartfelt condolences to the family."
