Thread: Army ration food packs?

Would anyone consider eating these as a staple of one's diet?

They hold plenty of nutritional value and can be eaten hot or cold.

If they can give soldiers the energy to endure extreme training then I'm sure they will be fine for athletes and gym goers.

I bought some about 25 years ago and forgot about them. Found them in a storage building last summer, brought them home and ate a Salisbury steak and meatloaf. The rest are in my pantry now, and probably will be until I die. They taste horrible. I even tried some of my dog's dog treats a few weeks ago, Barkin Bacon. The dog treats tasted better than the Army ration packs. The dog treats still didn't taste very good, so that should give you an idea of how those other things tasted.
