    anyone here had hand surgery?

    broken one of my wrist bone hamate, and said it was displaced and could need artificial bone gaft could cause further problems as joint is dislocated and the only way to get back to doing gym was to cut my hand up and fix it.

    Hand surgery isn’t a fun picnic but as long as you’re young and do physical therapy you should be OK.

    If you broke a carpal bone (hamate) and it’s not healing and your doctor says you need surgery, then buck up and do it son. Men lived through far worse injuries in far worse times.

    Edit: How did you fracture it? Trauma related?

    punched the wall. thinking of seeking a second opinion i mean if it could heal well itself
