Muktsar, May 6

Acting on a complaint, a team of the health department along with the police and civil administration today conducted a raid at a private hospital in Gidderbaha. The team reportedly found more than the permitted number of Covid positive patients admitted there.

Notably, the hospital is run by former chief medical officer (CMO), Muktsar, Dr HN Singh and his family.

Though Dr Singh said four Covid patients were admitted to the hospital, Gidderbaha SDM Om Parkash said eight patients were found admitted to the hospital. The Gidderbaha senior medical officer will conduct an inquiry. — TNS
