Central Vista: Supreme Court refuses to take up plea for halt in building

The Supreme Court Friday declined to entertain a plea towards the Delhi High Court’s adjournment of a PIL searching for a halt to the development of sure stretches of the Central Vista amid the pandemic. It instructed the petitioners to request the High Court to urgently listing the matter.
The courtroom mentioned it isn’t inclined to enter benefit of the case because the matter is pending earlier than the HC. The bench requested petitioners’ counsel to request the HC to take up the matter as early as attainable.
The HC, in a listening to on May 4, had mentioned it wanted to undergo the highest courtroom order granting clearance to the venture earlier than listening to it intimately. It had posted the matter for May 17.
