The Rajasthan government has decided to impose a complete lockdown from May 10-24, given the increase in new cases of coronavirus in the state. The state government, while issuing the order on Thursday night, has said that the lockdown will remain on May 10 from 5 am to May 24 at 5 am. The government has made it clear that there will be no marriages during the lockdown in the state. The government said that marriage ceremonies in the state would be held only after May 31, 2021.

In a meeting of the State Council of Ministers chaired by Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on Thursday, he expressed concern over the rising coronavirus infection and the death toll in rural areas and youth. The government has issued a guideline on the lockdown saying that no permission for DJs, processions, and evacuation and celebrations, etc. related to the dispute in the state will be allowed till May 31. - Marriage will be allowed at home or as a court marriage. In which only 11 people will be allowed to go. No mass banquet will be allowed during the lockdown.

- MGNREGA works will be postponed after cases of infection in rural areas. All types of religious places will remain closed. Along with this, it will be mandatory for travelers coming from outside the state to show the RT-PCR negative report done within 72 hours.

In addition to medical services, all types of private and government transport mean such as buses, jeeps, etc. will be completely closed in lockdown. Bans, auto tempos, tractors, jeeps, etc. will be allowed for the procession.

- Government has said in its order that the movement of heavy vehicles transporting goods interstate and within the state, loading, and unloading of goods will be allowed to the persons employed for this work.

Apart from this, there will be a complete ban on all types of traffic except medical and other emergency services in the state, from one district to another district, from one city to another, from city to village, from village to city, and from village to village.
