LiDAR has established itself as a pivotal component in the shift to automated and autonomous driving. Almost all automotive players agree that remote sensing technology like this will help shape future mobility, and interest in the area has been growing. Today, a handful of technology developers are jockeying for market leadership. One of the fastest-growing start-ups on the scene is Innoviz Technologies, which is developing a solid-state design using digital micro-mirrors to steer light from the illumination source to scan an environment.
