Hyderabad: The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) is continuing its mission of improving civic infrastructure by re-carpeting roads and improving junctions in the city.
To ensure an aesthetic look, theme-based junctions are being built on one side while pedestrian-friendly islands and greenery are also being developed.
Works at the Mozamjahi Market junction and Abids junction are some among the many junctions which got a facelift recently.
The GHMC has recarpeted the road from the GHMC head office to Mozamjahi Market apart from adding lane markings, pedestrian crossings and rumble strips as part of the additional civic works taken up in that stretch.
In Abids junction, the civic body has developed pedestrian friendly islands, installed bollards for safety of people and developed greenery.
