Madhya Pradesh reports 12,319 Covid-19 cases, 71 fatalities

ChiefMinister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has stressed upon the need to break the chain of infection completely by adopting stern measures for a few more days.

Madhya Pradesh on Wednesday reported 12,319 Covid-19 cases and 71 fatalities, taking the tally of infections in the state to 6,24,985 and the death toll to 6,074.

Meanwhile ChiefMinister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has stressed upon the need to break the chain of infection completely by adopting stern measures for a few more days.

He said that saving people’s lives is biggest priority of the government. There has been a significant decline in the weekly new cases of Corona in the state.

The state’s weekly positivity rate is 20.3 percent. While recovery rate is 84.7 percent and death rate is 1 percent.

The number of active cases in the state stands at 89,244. A total of 9,643 patients recovered from infection.

More than 200 new cases of Covid have been reported in 12 districts of the state. The active cases in Indore stands at 12,930 while Bhopal has 11,107 such cases.
