Russia registers 7,639 COVID-19 cases in past 24 hours - Response Center

Moscow, May 5 (Sputnik) Russia registered 7,639 new COVID-19 cases over the past 24 hours, down from 7,795 the day before, taking the overall tally to 4,855,128 the coronavirus response center said on Thursday.
"Over the past day, 7,639 coronavirus cases were confirmed across 83 Russian regions, including 1,023 cases (13.4%) without clinical symptoms," the center said, adding that the rate of increase was at 0.16%.
Moscow confirmed 2,114 new coronavirus cases over the past 24 hours, down from 2,432 the day before. The Russian capital was followed by St. Petersburg with 715 new cases and the Moscow Region with 600.
The response center reported 351 COVID-19 fatalities, down from 360 the day before, raising the country's death toll to 112,246.
Total recoveries increased by 7,788 over the given period, up from 7,506 the previous day, and reached 4,472,338 in total.
