NEW DELHI: Former Union minister and RLD chief Ajit Singh died due to Covid-19 at a hospital on Thursday.
82-year-old Singh was a prominent leader in Western Uttar Pradesh.
He contracted Covid on April 20 and was getting treated at a hospital in Gurugram.
“Chaudhary Ajit Singh ji was diagnosed as Covid positive on April 20. He battled his condition till the very end and breathed his last today morning,” said his son and RLD leader Jayant Chaudhary in a Twitter post.

PM Narendra Modi also condoled the demise and said Ajit Singh was always devoted to the interests of the farmers. He efficiently discharged the responsibilities of several departments at the center.
