Covid-19: 1,553 new cases detected in Kolhapur

Kolhapur, May 5 (UNI) As many as 1,553 fresh Covid-19 patients and 53 deaths were reported in a single day today, taking the district's tally of such cases to 73,381 and the toll to 2,460, respectively.
On the other hand, 1,018 more patients were discharged during the day across the district, taking the overall count of recoveries to 60,647.
There are now 10,274 active cases in the district, an official report said.
