National Unity Platform [NUP] supreme leader Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu aka Bobi Wine has accused the ruling government of being behind the plot to impoverish him over his role in demanding for change of leadership.

The former Presidential Candidate was speaking in relation to a recent ownership claim by a certain woman on his Magere land. She also claims ownership of the land occupied by over 2,000 neighbors of Bobi Wine.

He says that even when he had owned land in Magere, Kamwokya and Busabala for over a decade, no claim ever came over it until he declared intention to challenge president Museveni. He says that all these challenges are intended to divert him by keeping him entangled in protracted property wars as the pressure on them lessens.

“Although I have owned land in Magere, Kamwokya, and Busabala for over a decade, it was only when I declared intentions to challenge the despot that they filed all manner of bogus cases against me in relation to all these properties,” Bobi Wine wrote in a Facebook post.

“Eventually , they want to leave me without anything, but also to keep us engaged in these kinds of situations as they steal, kill and destroy our nation.”

The outgoing Kyadondo East legislator however says he will not be taken up by these challenges since he knows well that the role he took up in challenging the establishment is not a simple one. He sounded optimistic that his efforts will definitely end in victory for the people for all stories for bad leaders in the past have been ” rise and fall” and not “rise and rise” and says will be Museveni’s.

“Taking on a dictator is certainly no mean feat, but it will end in victory for the people. No dictator’s story has ever been the rise and rise- it is usually the rise and fall! So will it be for Gen. Museveni,” he concluded.
