Apple awards USD 410 mln to II-VI to expand US components manufacturing

Apple is giving USD 410 million to II-VI to help expand its manufacturing capacity in the US. This follows an initial USD 390 million award to the company in 2017 from Apple's Advanced Manufacturing Fund. Apple uses II-VI components for iPhones and wants to expand its suppliers network based in the US.
