Mumbai: Serial molester held within 24 hours in Juhu

MUMBAI: Juhu police arrested a serial molester within 24 hours after he fled away after molesting a 33-year-old woman near Mithibai College in Vile Parle (West) on May 3.
Accused Sanjog Koli (22), who works as a delivery boy, committed the offence after he approached the victim on his bike and sped away after molesting her.
The incident occurred at around 9pm when the victim was walking on the road heading towards her home. “Koli was arrested with the help of closed-circuit television (CCTV) after sub-inspector Pravin Rakshe tracked him to a slum in Vile Parle (west),” said Juhu police senior inspector Shashikant Mane.
Koli was identified with the help of the dress he has worn on the day he committed the offence. In the complaint, the victim said, “The biker followed her and sped away after molesting her. Before I could realise the accused vanished on his bike in the dark.”
Koli has confessed to committing the offence and the police team also learnt that he has been involved in a similar acts in the past. He has been booked under the IPC section for 354 (outrage modesty of a woman).
