KURUKSHETRA: Amid the shortage in oxygen supply, the district administration will set up two oxygen plants at LNJP Civil Hospital in Kurukshetra city and the government hospital in Shahabad town. Kurukshetra MP Nayab Singh Saini said that after instructions from Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Haryana chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar, two oxygen plants are being installed in the district with a capacity of producing 500 litre of oxygen per minute. “The installation work has been handed over to the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) and Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) and these plants would be installed in a week's time”, said Nayab Saini. Five deaths, 318 fresh Covid-19 cases Meanshile, the district reported 318 new coronavirus cases and five deaths, taking its tally to 17,658 and toll to 204, civil surgeon Dr Sukhbir Singh said. During the day, 95 patients were discharged from various hospitals in the district. The district now has 2,178 active cases of Covid-19.
